The overcoming odds have set the Thomians on a very offensive set piece as both opening batsman of S. Thomas’ have so far managed to evade a fallen wicket. However H. Withanage of Royal has managed to be a persistent disadvantage of the Thomians. At the start of the lunch break the Thomians managed to score 146 runs for the loss of no wickets.
Thus it is quite clear that the Thomians have a definite lead but the unseen god Fate may have other plans in store for both teams but at the moment the Thomians seem to have the upper hand as Y. Mendis has a total individual score of 44 and R. Opatha with a staggering score of 95 at the start of lunch and their partnership of 146 runs are keeping the Royalist under serious pressure.
